Can I Beat Terraria ONLY Using Glitches? (2024)

wow Terraria has some pretty cool glitches, I wish there was a super cool TH-cam channel you could visit to learn more about them

the reason the brain could still spawn it's minions is because they're entities, not projectiles, so that they can be killed. Same thing goes for the breakable attacks from imps and such

I had no idea terraria was this broken. I figured out, about 10 years ago, how to make stuff float by breaking sand under it in different ways, but now we're at infinite boulder shooting machines? Create any item in the game? This is definitely broken.

By the way you can use beach balls to fill up the projectile limit infinitely, as they do not have a timer so long as they are moving. If you release a bunch in a small room they will bounce off the walls and eachother and never touch the ground.

Moral of the story: glitches that gige you any item in the game are slightly unbalanced

The thing with the bunny, goldfish, and penguin statues summoning infinite enemies during a blood moon technically isn't a glitch. It's just an unintended side affect of bunnies, goldfish, and penguins turning into the evil enemy version of themselves, which are three whole different entities from each other.
Or in other words, bunnies, goldfish, and penguins are the summoned from the statues are the only things that count towards the statues. While the evil version they turn into during a blood moon is a totally different entity that doesn't count towards the statue cap.

If you go into a world, put the item you want to dupe into a chest, save and quite the world, go back into it, take the item out of the chest,die and fully close down terraria before you respawn, when you next go into the world, one copy of the item will be in your inventory and another copy will still be in the chest. This works as terraria only saves the world data when you save and quit (on single player) but also saves the character data when you die.

Me and my brother once found a dump glitch. I believe it was on the Xbox and when we were in multiplayer he would give me some thing I would leave saying the game would save what I got from there and then he would just close our or the whole game before it saved any changes and basically that is how it worked.

A co glitch on mobile is if you have co op and mobile uses falling knife and the pc breaks sand the modules controls sand dealing damage to players and mobs/npcs

Btw you don’t even need a hoik to get into the lizhard door. You can put 3 platforms on any door and hammer them into ramps to walk straight through almost any door.

I found an easy duplication glitch. First, you take the item you want to duplicate, then save and quit. Join someone else's world (I used my brother's), then put the item(s) in the chest. Then close terraria without saving immediately. Then reload, and you'll still have the item in your inventory and the chest. Works with money, too $$$

9:20 There actually is a dupe glitch. Sure, it isn't practical but it works and I don't think Terraria can patch it. It basically works by placing things in a chest, leave the world, joining back, taking the items out of the chest, then die and as soon as you die close the game, reopen it and join the world, check the chest and boom duped items. Sure it takes a bit to glitch but once you get into the hundreds its pretty easy to dupe (Since it dupes it by two, unless you do multiple chests ofc then youll get more.)

Mimics don't exactly damage Queen Bee. She is just dealing contact damage to all non-hornet enemies, and thus takes contact damage back.
Penguin/Bunny/Goldfish statues do have spawn limit as every other statue. But during Blood Moon corresponding critters turn into hostile enemies, and that's why statues keep spawning them.

I love watching videos like these and looking at how many of these glitches I know about.

If you think about it like that, you could use the mount from the queen bee, take the tournament spear and use the chests of immortality to gain enormous speed with the help of a bug and one-shot bosses (guess who I learned about this from). but I think using tournament spears is against the rules, right? still a cool video!
It was also possible to 0-shot EoW by filling the NPC, and leaving one slot...

the thing i like about terraria glitches is that you rarely stumble into one while playing normally, so it doesnt affect the game for normal players and theyre fun for glitch hunters

I know a glitch to duplicate items and it's pretty simple.
First you need a chest.
Then put the items you want to dupe in the chest.
Now exit the world and enter again.
Now put the items in your inventory and exit the world and quickly close the game completely.
When you enter the world you're gonna see that the items you duplicated are in your inventory and the chest
Note: sometimes the glitch doesn't work and deletes your items.

There is a way to duplicate any item you want. You need two people, one is the host and the other duplicates. The one that duplicates has the item saved into their inventory, then they drop the item or put it in a chest. After that they quit without saving. When they get back into the game the item is still in their inventory as well as in the chest.

someone did do a video on finding out how many alters it takes to convert a normal world but this was long before the shimmer and all so it wont be fully accurate.

Hello there , one question i still have is , can you perform transmutation in mobile ? And if so do you have a video on the matter ? Because joining multiplayer doesn’t really do the trick , the statue tends to breaks and disappear or just levitate fully visible.

You know how the godmode chest makes you invincible? There’s a glitch with 3 platforms one block and a grapple that makes enemies unable to shoot you

The bloodmoon statue thing can also be done with fish while it’s raining I found that out in the 360 days with my afk catching stuff farm but I came back during rain and it was going crazy

there is a duplication glitch, enter a multilayer server put your item/s in a chest , dont close the chest menu , alt f4 from the game then join that same world in singleplayer , now you have your item/s in your inventory and in the chest

There is a duplication glitch in terraria. Put stuff in a chest, save the world, load back in, take stuff out of the chest, die, close terraria without saving, reload the game character and world and check the chest again. You should now have stuff in the chest and in your inventory

so instead of using meteorite furniture from the transmutation glitch, you can technically get meteorite bars from gold chests close to the underworld, but i guess it's faster to get meteorite furniture and decraft it

This content is RIGHT up my alley! Glitches, bugs, exploits etc. add a whole new layer to a lot of games that give them a lot more potential for stuff to do and add tons of replayability.
I wish there were more people doing glitch playthroughs (not speedruns) of this game, and all games in general.
I already knew the glitches used here but I actually didn't know the slime mount still deals damage with the t-pose chest glitch, so I'm happy to have learned something new :)
BTW transmutation _might_ be possible in 1.3 but it would be a more limited version if so. I should continue research but I'm lazy, lol.
